.urgent.
it’s been a while..
[sigh]
right now i try to be a useful citizen and share my story. just about today, my bf and i were going to tomang. we passed the tol(o)l gate "dukuh atas" and we could see the traffic jam as soon as we paid. the toll gate keeper said that there was a bus broke down somewhere. okay.
a few meters in front of us, there were a light blue avanza and an old toyota. they didn’t move. i thought the toyota driver hit the avanza lightly for i couldn’t see the damage even though ryan and i passed only about 2 meters from where they stopped.
the driver of avanza who was a tall-big-fat man in his late 30s got off the car shouting. he was extremely mad at the driver of the old toyota. he was shouting, pointing, and hitting the window at the driver’s side, telling the driver to come out and see the damage that had been made by the toyota driver. from where i watched, the toyota driver had no intention of running away since the traffic was extremely stuck.
as the man kept shouting and hitting the window pane, the toyota driver finally gave up and came out of his car. he was a 60 or 65-year-old-man using a very thick glasses. he said sorry and didn’t mean it (who intentionally crashed one’s car against another’s actually?)
what surprised me more was the younger man DID NOT EVEN BLINK when he shouted at the poor old man! even after the old man said sorry. his next move made me speechless : he grabbed the old man ’s right wrist and actually pulled him to his avanza to check the damage (which i was so sure it wouldn’t be so devastating that he needed to be rude towards an old man).
after that shocking view, i didn’t know what happened next. all i know that there was someone from jasa marga asked them to pull over because the avanza driver made the traffic-jam worse.
[sigh]
i AM still very sorry that i couldn’t be spontaneous to jump off my seat and punched the rude man right on his nose! i am so restless until now. ryan even slowed down his car until we reached tomang to see if the light blue avanza could catch up with us.
i Am still very sorry that both of us did not do anything useful THAT time.
how rude young people can be nowadays. we can be angry, we can get mad, but i personally think that we should observe who we are dealing with. how if our father or our mother or even our grandparents are treated like that by a total stranger? i am very sad and angry…
i won’t start a lecture here. let our conscience be the very judge of our manners and attitudes and behaviors.
[annoyed]
cheerssssszzz.
